Main Sauvage knitted toys are entirely handmade, in a fair trade workshop in Bolivia that offers illiterate women good working conditions and a fair income. This solidary economy helps to improve the living conditions of the families and to ensure the education of the children. All cuddly toys are made from pure baby alpaca wool, a renewable, extremely ecological natural fibre. They are filled with fibers made from recycled plastic bottles. The wool comes from a spinning mill in the Bolivian Andes and is supplied by small breeders. We use the natural colors of the alpaca as much as possible: white, black, shades of gray and brown. All of our other paints are made with eco-friendly, non-toxic dyes.
